After an approximately 10-minute drive from the top of the mountain to Stop Light #10, our guests are in the National Park. Their website link is provided below. Be sure to check it out for road/hiking trail closures as some are only open seasonally.
Our 8-person hot tub is for your relaxation after your day of hiking, shopping in Gatlinburg, or enjoying the views. Goldilocks' Haven guests can enjoy the mountain air while unwinding. Even on a rainy day the outdoors can still be enjoyed at Goldilocks' Haven. Sit on the first deck and have a swing, listen to the birds, just be careful to lock the deck as bears do visit here to check out the activities!
Challenge your fellow guests to a game of Pool or see who can make the most baskets on the Basketball Hoop Arcade Game in our Game Room on the Ground Floor. Who can win the most games by the end of your visit? Recent additions to this room include a magnetic checker and tic-tac-toe board and a Ms. Pacman arcade game! Check out the "Let's Explore" wall to find resources for best hikes in the park and shops in town to visit during your stay.
This is the bedroom on the second floor. It is called the Moose Room aptly named. It is also home to the stuffed animal, "Gus the Watch Moose" (whose name is inspired by the movie, "The Prince and Me," 2004). There is a cable TV, and the Queen-sized bed has a memory foam mattress. A shower with a clothesline makes it easy to clean up after a hike and dry your swimsuits. This bathroom has been newly remodeled (March 2020) to include a glass shower door, a vessel sink, and new flooring. When you stay with us, see if you can count the number of bears in this room alone. We'd be interested in hearing how many you find! Click the link below to DM us your findings!
If you're a bear in the morning, you'd love our coffee bar in the kitchen area. It is located on the Main (2nd) Floor, next to the Kitchen and Dining Area. We provide a Keurig coffee maker, mugs, and a few other coffee related items for our guests. Later on in the day, enjoy the simplicity of sitting out on the deck and enjoy the views.
Goldilocks' Haven and its owners are deeply connected to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Take a moment during your visit to learn our history and then jot down your visit's highlights in our Guest Journal to share your experiences. We love hearing your story and sharing part of ours--yes, we write in it too!
We want our guests to be able to relax, as well as enjoy everything the National Park has to offer, while they're staying with us at Goldilocks' Haven. For this reason, we have arranged the Family Room into two separate, but together, areas. This is the gaming area with comfy couches. The wood-burning fireplace is located here as well allowing for cozy chilled nights.
This portion of the Living Room houses the TV and also connects to the Dining Area. It is located on the 2nd Floor which might be difficult for people challenged with mobility, but once on the 2nd Floor, all the activity and areas for rest are centrally located.
Show your support for the USA by staying in a patriotic-themed bedroom. Like the Master, this room has a King-sized bed with a memory foam mattress and a cable TV.
Do you have some little ones staying with you? They would absolutely love these bunk beds sized "just right" for your Baby Bear! Located in the Stars & Stripes Room, you can also rest assured that your little one is close by to the Master Bedroom next door.
Sit back and relax in the Family Room next to our fireplace. Enjoy some board games, pop in a DVD from our video library, or watch cable TV while the fire crackles. If you stay during the winter, we deck it out for Christmas with stockings!
